On June 16th, Saturday, Borovets officially kicked start of the summer season. The summer opening day was also the Mountain Adventures Day and the resort offered plenty of excitement and challenging events to visitors of all ages, all of it for free!  

The resort’s guests had the opportunity to test their climbing skills in Borolandia rope city, to join a mountain tour to the Chernata Skala site. The youngest guests attended their first horse riding lessons. For cycling fans, with the special assistance of Ram Bikes, biking tours were organized in Bulgaria’s largest and professionally designed mountain bike park- Borovets Bike Park. Participants were given free equipment, bike and lift ticket and were accompanied by a professional guide. More extreme bikers had the opportunity to show interesting tricks on the air bag in front of the Rila hotel, which was installed there especially for the occasion. The organizers dded to the general fun with plenty of music and surprises, hoping that the event became a memorable day for all mountain lovers.

2012 is the fourth consecutive year for Borvets to enhance and extend its summer agenda. Along with the opportunities to enjoy some relaxation or just a nice walk in the mountain, the resort’s summer activities also include: jeep safari and off-road on ATVs, mountain bike, horse riding, bow shooting, fun in Borlandia rope city. Walking tours going from a simple picnic to conquering the highest pick on the Balkans are also on the list for an active summer vacation. Special attention is dedicated to the youngest guests of the resort- the reopening of indoor and outdoor kids club Boroland. The club offers unique conditions for outdoor activities for kids aged 2-10, providing day care on hourly or daily basis, as well as kids parties.

The pride of summer Borovets is Borovets Bike Park – the best mountain bike park in Bulgaria. Its perfectly maintained trails with different levels of difficulty are equally attractive to professional bikers and beginners including families with kids.  The highest recognition for Borovets Bike Park is the international Borovets Bike Park Open Cup 2012 race, which, this year, is to take place for the second time in June 22-24 and is on the International Cycling Union calendar.

The official opening of the new summer season in Borovets mountain resort will take place on 18 June 2011. This summer Borosport has a lot of surprises for the mountain lovers.

The newest attraction in the resort is Borovets mountain bike park with 20 km long marked trails through the forest with varying degrees of difficulty.

The green trails are appropriate for children and beginners. The blue trails are for intermediate mountain bikers – they are ideal for improving one's skills, and prepare for riding the red routes. Experts can try the most difficult red trails.

Borovets mountain bike park's pride is the downhill slope. It is 2200 m in length, and has a 400 m vertical declination. The extreme downhill slope is only for professionals.
