Our apartment is situated on the 4th floor and overlooks the pine forest and village. The views can be enjoyed from the large balcony which has a table and chairs. The apartment comfortably accommodates 4.Comprises large hallway with storage space, lounge with 3 seater sofa bed, cable TV, DVD. Smart fully equipped kitchen area with 2 hot plates, fridge, coffee maker. Large bathroom with shower. Spacious bedroom with kingsize bed, ample storage, giving access to the balcony. The apartment is centrally heated. Bedding and towels provided. Fresh towels are provided mid-week.
General
Borovets is nestled at the foot of the Rila mountain range at an altitude of 1350 metres. The resort was founded over 100 years ago by the Bulgarian kings who built a palace and hunting lodges there. The apres ski is exciting and varied. Whether you want to dance the night away or have a romantic meal for 2 in one of the many rustic restaurants in front of a log fire - the choice is yours ! You can make your stay even more memorable by trying out some of the other activities available in the resort - night skiing under floodlights, skidoo rides, ice skating, bowling, fantastic mountain walks to name but a few . And to top it all it’s very good value ! Enjoy a 3 course meal with drinks for less than £10.00 !
Winter in Borovets
The 42km of marked pistes are served by a well developed lift network. There’s also 19km of cross country trails. The Borovets ski school enjoys an excellent reputation and has over 200 multilingual instructors. The Flora is in the perfect spot to give you quick access to all the lifts, nursery slopes and other resort facilities. Whether skiing, snowboarding or just enjoying the scenery, this really is a fun place to be !
Summer in Borovets
The crisp, clean air and stunning scenery make Borovets a magnet for the keen walker and nature lover. Borovets is the starting point for many hiking tours including Mount Moussala, which at 2925 metres, is the Balkan Peninsula’s highest peak. Tourist attractions within easy reach include the famous Rila Monastery, parts of which date back to the 14th century and which is nestled in a deep valley with spectacular scenery, the ancient city of Plovdiv, the capital Sofia for great shopping and sightseeing and Lake Iskar, the largest lake in Bulgaria, which is just 15km away and offers you the chance to fish or hire a boat. There is even a superb golf course just 20 minutes away ! And for those days when you want to stay closer to home and rest those aching legs, why not try the horse riding or fishing in the crystal clear rivers and lakes.
